Nothing says “I love you” better than cheese, right?
I’ve been craving a good cheese plate recently, after my trip to Madrid — where we ate tapas for dinner most nights, including samplings of cheese and really delicious jamón ibérico. Check out my Instagram for the photos!
Cheese plates are the ideal snack dinner — you can have so much variety and get full gradually, and be satisfied with so many yummy flavors and textures.
If you’re inspired by the beauty and deliciousness of cheese plates, and wondering how to construct the perfect combination, I did a Fall cheese plate post where I shared 6 steps to create the perfect cheese plate. Follow the instructions for how to set up the cheese plate, or see the below gif for a hint.
Abiding by these rules, I’ve created this special extra large cheese plate for a group of 6 hungry adults. We served this for a party we hosted at our apartment, where everybody basically ate cheese plate snack/dinner. EXTRA bonus — everything is from Trader Joe’s and the whole thing cost $54 (extremely cheap for a really good and huge cheese plate).
Here’s all the ingredients I bought from TJ’s (and listed below for your convenience). This is a great snack for any Valentine’s parties you might have coming up, or Gal-entine’s day (Pal-entine’s for the guys?) served alongside mimosas or bellinis. So fancy!

Wishing you lots of love this Valentine’s Day. It’s basically my favorite holiday. We’re staying in again, since going out to each is extremely expensive. Jonathan is making me a surprise dinner and I’m going to try to make some red velvet cake <3
